Ah, those USB ports. From 1.0 to 2.0 to the upcoming 3.0, they are near ubiquitous, so much so that Firewire has taken a back seat. And speaking of back seats, since Jay Leno left the Tonight Show, Conan O'Brien has taken a back seat to David Letterman as well. In an attempt to raise his ratings, O'Brien interviewed one of Intel's rock stars, Ajay Bhatt, the co-inventor of the USB port.
Interestingly, as Conan mentioned, Ajay Bhatt was featured in one of Intel's own rock star ad (above) was a fake, an actor. Conan interviewed the real Bhatt. Additionally, Bhatt appeared in a snarky ad put up by Conan, which is at least as good as the official Intel one.
In particular, the line "Are you enjoying the USB port" (above) Bhatt gave to some admittedly hot women, was particularly funny. Now, using an actor sort of seems like airbrushing on a whole new level doesn't it? Now, about those USB 3 ports on our new laptops? Can we talk? - HotHardware
