Snafu Freezes Packers Game

September 28th, 2009

MADISON, WISC.: Green Bay Packers fans watching Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams on Charter cable systems were out of luck about halfway through the telecast. The game, carried on Sinclair-owned Fox affiliate WMSN-TV, suddenly froze up on the Charter standard-def systems for nearly an hour, the station’s Web site reported.

“The freeze lasted through half-time. The St. Louis Rams scored two touchdowns and a field goal during the time of the technical difficulties,” Fox47.com said. “The signal returned about half-way through the third quarter.”

The station offered an apology but no explanation for the freeze-up, which didn’t affect direct broadcast satellite or over-the-air delivery.
