Only the preview version of Blackberry was available for Mac until late December. But there are many new enhancements that have been implemented now with the latest releases. The Desktop manager will handle anything that has been exclusive to PC till now. After years of struggle with third party softwares, Mac is now blessed with its own BlackBerry Desktop software. Here are some features that have been included in the initial releases.
* Now you can add or remove applications from your blackberry using Mac.
* You can easily sync up your iTunes playlists, notes, tasks, calendars and contacts. Users are given the flexibility to sync music and send the tracks to the integrated memory or a micro SD card which leaves the memory free for other applications. All your contact and calendar information can be easily synched with address book, mail or any other supporting application.
* You will be able to manage multiple devices.
* Support for Mac 10.5.5 and Mac 10.6 the snow leopard which are the latest Mac version is also available. It allows the users to sync their smart phone by distributing the contents to multiple systems.
* Automatic update of devices when new softwares are available.
* If you have sensitive data, then the users are given the flexibility to protect their data using the backup encryption option. The device can be configured to automatically sync when connected.
* It also provides the media sync feature which most of the people were just waiting for it.
