Ethiopia’s dictator leaves for Rome to attend G8 Summit
Addis Ababa — Ethiopia’s dictator Meles Zenawi left here this morning for Rome, Italy to attend the G8 Summit that began on Wednesday.
Meles is expected to urge the developed world to live up their commitments made to Africa in several meetings including on the recent G20 Summit in London.
He is also expected to voice issues concerning Africa including that of climate change and its impact on it.
Prime Minister Meles strongly advocates the idea that Africa must be compensated for the damage caused by global warming.
The Summit is also expected to discuss piracy along the cost of Somalia and the ever growing drug trafficking in West Africa, among others.
Meles attends the Summit upon the invitation by the government of Italy.
