Kampala — THE Vision Group is to open up two more radio stations this year, the corporation secretary, Gervase Ndyanabo, has said.

Ndyanabo said Etop Radio to be based in Soroti and Rupiny Radio in Gulu would be operational within two months.

“This is in addition to our three existing radio stations Vision Voice, Bukedde FM and Radio West. We will soon also start a television station. We are expanding in fulfilment of our vision,” Ndyanabo observed.

He also disclosed that Saturday Vision and Sunday Vision were being redesigned and revamped to suit readers’ interests.

He was addressing over 100 distributors of Vision Group products during a one-day conference at Kati Kati Restaurant in Kampala on Thursday.

Ndyanabo noted that the company would consistently meet readers and listeners’ demands through innovation and world class practices.

The conference was meant to discuss the role of information management in the growth of sales.

Ndyanabo urged the distributors to aim at capturing a bigger market, reasoning that this would in the long run increase their income and newspaper sales.

He informed the participants that the ongoing construction of the new corporation offices in Industrial Area was on track.

“We want to print 64 full-colour pages at once by Christmas this year. The new printing machines are about to arrive,” he stated.

The deputy Editor in Chief, Barbara Kaija, said the corporation was determined to grow further and encouraged distributors to seek advice from management.
