Gondar, Ethiopia (ENA) – Two Sudanese investors announced that they would built a medicinal drugs manufacturing factory in Gondar Town of Amhara State at a cost of 36 million US dollars.

The Town’s Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion Office said the investors will build the factory on 20,000 square meters of land they received from the town’s administration.

According to the owners, the construction of the factory, which will commence after six months, will be completed in four years.

The construction of the factory will help save foreign currency in which the country has been spending on the import of drugs.

The construction of the plant is expected to create jobs to 800 people, according to the office.

The Sudanese investors also announce plan to build edible oil and soap factories in the town.
