First Lady Azeb lays cornerstone for construction of secondary school

Humera – First Lady, Azeb Mesfin laid a cornerstone on Sunday for the construction of a secondary school in Kafta-Humera Woreda of Central Tigray Zone.

Speaking at the occasion, Azeb said the construction of the school would enable students get access to secondary education nearby.

The school to be constructed in collaboration with the public and the government would support ongoing efforts to address education for all and ensure its quality.

She urged all stakeholders to contribute their share for the successful completion of the school.

Chief of the Zonal Administration, Yitbarek Amha on his part said that the education service coverage in the Zone has shown an improvement over the past few years.

Schools were constructed in rural localities of the Zone, he said.

The Woreda Public has pledged to provide over two million Birr for the construction of the school, while Ethiopian tycoon, Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Ali Al Amoudi provided 3.5 million Birr for the same purpose.
