Boyfriend stabbed at ‘Goodbye South Bend’ party
SOUTH BEND — A 50-year-old South Bend man was stabbed in the leg late Monday outside a home in the 800 block of South Pulaski Street, police said.
According to South Bend police, the man was engaged in a physical altercation with his girlfriend about 11:50 p.m. when another man intervened and stabbed him in the back of the right leg with his own knife, of which he had been disarmed.
The stabbing took place during a going-away party for the victim, who was scheduled to report to prison Tuesday morning to begin serving a one-year sentence, police said.
No arrests have been made.
