Ethiopia: Investors to develop mines with 63 million birr capital

Assela, Assela (ENA) – Some three investors who have been licensed with mines development in Arsi zone of Oromia state have launched projects with 63 million birr capital.

Some 40,000 hectares of land has already been given to two Ethiopians and one foreign investor, the zonal mines and energy resource development office told ENA on the weekend.

The foreign investor has been licensed to develop minerals for a cement factory the investor is to construct in Zewai Dugda woreda. The cement factory will const the investor 53 million birr capital, according to the office.

A 13-kms road to the cement construction site is also under construction, the office said.

The two Ethiopians investors got the license to supply construction inputs to the real estate development in Adama town.

The investors have already created job opportunity to about 200 people.
