N.Shoa, Fiche (ENA) – Some 26 investors with over 132 million Birr combined capital have launched construction to engage in various investment sectors in North Shoa Zone of Oromia State, zonal investment office said.
Office head, Gizachew gonfa told ENA on Tuesday that the investment projects are in the areas of education, health, hotel and tourism as well as agro-industry.
The head said the investors have received 333 hectares land in 13 woredas and four towns of the zone.
Construction of the projects, expected to be completed after two years, has created jobs for over 2,000 citizens.
Gizachew said over 250 hectares investment site is prepared in the zone, which is suitable for cement production, construction, ecotourism and farming .
Investment projects launched with over 10 billion Birr capital during the past couple of years have already created temporary and permanent jobs for more than 50,000 citizens, he said.
