Ethiopia’s dictator Meles holds discussion with Germany’s state secretary
Addis Ababa (ENA)– Prime Minister Meles Zenawi held discussion here on Wednesday with state secretary of foreign office of Germany, Peter Ammon on various matters of mutual interest.
The discussion focused on bilateral issues between Ethiopia and Germany in particular and the existing situation in the Horn of Africa in general, according to a higher level government official, who attended the discussion.
During the discussion, Prime Minister Meles pointed out that the international community should increase its support as fast as possible to help the government in Somalia and ensure peace and security in the country.
Otherwise, the country would turn to the previous conflict.
After the discussion the state secretary Peter Ammon told journalists his admiration to Prime Minister Meles for his strong ideas representing Africa’s interest at the recent G-20 meeting held in London.
He also said his country has plans to convene a meeting in Addis Ababa for its ambassadors working in African countries.
He said his country will convene on the impact of global economic crisis on African countries with its ambassadors in the continent.
According to the state secretary, Addis Ababa is selected to host the meeting.
