Ethiopia: Zone building 11 mln birr health facilities
Dessie, (WIC) – The south Wollo zone health department announced that construction of health facilities is being carried out with 11 million birr budget the current year.
Department deputy head, Leulseged Negussie told WIC that the health facilities are being constructed in 21 woreda of the zone including Dessie and Kombolcka towns.
Some 45 health posts and 49 health stations are among the health facilities under construction.
The construction of the health facilities is being carried out with the budget earmarked by the federal government and woreda administrations.
Up on going fully operational by mid next year, the health facilities would bring health service coverage in the zone to 100 percent, from 95 percent at present, according to the deputy head.
