Man charged in Jay-Z concert stabbing
An Austin neighborhood man was charged Wednesday with misdemeanor battery for allegedly stabbing another man at the Tuesday night Jay-Z concert at the Downtown House of Blues Chicago.
Stevie Fobbs, 32, of the 500 block of North Lawler Avenue, was charged with one count of misdemeanor battery, police said.
Fobbs is accused of stabbing another man at the House of Blues Chicago on the 320 block of North Dearborn Street about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
Jay-Z played a concert at the House of Blues Chicago the night of the stabbing.
Fobbs and the victim began pushing each other after an argument, and Fobbs allegedly stabbed the other man in the back, according to police.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition.
It was not immediately known when Fobbs is scheduled to appear for a bond hearing.
Belmont Area detectives investigated the incident.
