Ethiopia: Office licenses over 433 million Birr worth investment projects
Gondar, (ENA) Some 89 investors with over 433 million Birr combined capital have received licenses to engage in various investment sectors in Gondar Town, Amhara State during the past nine months, town trade, industry and investment promotion office said.
Office head, Tsegaye Yibka told ENA on Friday that the investors would engage in industry, urban agriculture, construction, hotel and tourism, among others.
Some 49 of the investors have already launched construction on nine hectares land. Some 84 hectares land is prepared for the remaining investors.
The projects, expected to go fully operational in the coming three years, will create jobs for nearly 7,000 citizens.
The office has been implementing business process reengineering to provide efficient service to investors.
More than 470 investors with over three billion Birr combined capital have been engaged in various investment sectors during the past ten years in the town, the head said.
