Ethiopia’s Teyba Naser won Richmond, Virginia Marathon
RICHMOND, VIRGINIA — Ethiopia’s Teyba Naser, 26, who is currently training in Albuquerque, NM, won the SunTrust Richmond Marathon women’s division this morning. Her time was 26:31. Hellen Jensutai, of Kenya, finished second with a time of 26:57.
In the men’s division, Elkanah Kibet, a 23-year-old Kenyan, won with a time of 22 minutes, 47 seconds. Kibet, 23, is a student at Auburn University. Peter Matelong, also from Kenya, finished second with a time of 22:50.
