It is known Ethiopia uses its own alphabet and numbers for both office work and church services. The main language which uses this alphabet is Amharic. Amharic is the second most-spoken Semitic language in the world, after Arabic. Many Ethiopian history and church books have been written with this alphabet. It is estimated that more than 2.5 million people use Amharic language outside Ethiopia. This number has grown rapidly in the last decade due to high immigration rate of Ethiopia. Ethiopian’s are always eager to both hold onto and pass on their identity and culture to the new generation.
