Ethiopia: Ministry issuing certificate for TVET instructors
Adama, (WIC) - The Ministry of Education announced that it has begun the issuance of the quality assurance certificate for instructors of Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) institutions so as to produce effective man power.
State Minister of the Technical and Vocational training with the Ministry, Wondwosen Kiflu told WIC that the quality assurance certificate would play an important role to produce effective man power to the industrial sector.
The State Minister also said that the instructors will receive certificates after taking tests.
He also indicated that the instructors will be given further trainings on teaching methodology after they are certified.
Technical and Vocational training director of the Oromia State, Teshome Lema on his part pointed out that the issuance of the quality assurance certificate would play an important role to produce skilled man power that would contribute to the industrial development of the country.
Over 700 instructors in Oromia, Somali and Harari are receiving the quality assurance certificate, he said.
