Negelle — A primary school constructed in Yabello Woreda of Borena Zone, Oromia State at a cost of 664,000 Birr is readied for service, woreda education office said.
Office head, Melecha Didda told ENA that the school has 16 classrooms, library and recreation center, among others.
Melecha said the school will enroll 500 new students in the coming academic year.
The state education bureau, the public and CISP, an Italian NGO covered the cost for construction of the school.
The school is expected to raise education service coverage to 80 per cent from the previous 77 per cent.
More than 16,000 children are attending classes at 26 primary schools this year in the woreda, he said.
CISP has been working in Ethiopia since 1986.
