Ethiopia: Office licenses over 4.6 million Birr worth investment projects

(Debremarkos) – Some 99 investors with over 4.6 million Birr combined capital have received licenses during the past 10 months to undertake various investment projects in East Gojjam Zone, Amhara State, zonal environment protection, land administration and utilization office said.
The office told ENA on Thursday that the investors will cultivate, among others, sesame, pepper, haricot bean, oil seeds vegetables and fruits on over 11,800 hectares land.
More than 21,900 hectares farm land is identified in Gozamin, Basoliben, DebreElias and Awabel Woredas of the zone.
