Ethiopia: School improving pastoralist lives

Arba Minch, – The Arba Minch adolescent boarding school is contributing its share in improving the lives of pastoralist communities in the SNNP state through providing adult education.

School director, Tadesse Alemu told WIC that the school is providing adult education for pastoralists drawn from nine zones of the state.

Currently, the school is providing education, food, health and accommodations for 580 pastoralists, of whom 150 are women, he said.

He added that it is designing a plan to organize various clubs.

The school has so far provided education for 3,282 male and 975 female students.
