Ethiopia: Tigray, Sudanese Kassala states agree to work together

Mekelle, – A delegation from Tigray state signed an agreement with officials of the Sudanese Kassala state that would enables the two states work together in various sectors.

The Ethiopian delegation consisted Tigray state cabinet members, representatives of religious institutions and the business community.

The two parties held discussions on ways of improving the bilateral relations of the two sisterly states in the health, agriculture and religious sectors.

The two states agreed to prevent cross border communicable diseases and share information on irrigation development and natural resource conservation schemes.

Governor of Kassala state, Saleh Adem on the occasion pledged to give 5,000 USD to Alnejash mosque.

A delegation from Tigray state also headed to the Sudanese Gedarif state for a similar visit.
