Asmara — The Eritrean Ambassador to the United States, Mr. Girmai Gebremariam, conducted seminar on May 10 to Eritrean citizens living in Dallas and its environs.

He pointed out that the futile hidden economic embargo and acts of conspiracy designed to weaken Eritrea have been rebuffed thanks to the steadfastness of the people and Government of Eritrea. Indicating that Eritrea is playing modest role to peacefully resolve regional issues, Mr. Girmai explained that the achievements which the nation is registering in fostering diplomatic and economic cooperation based on relations of partnership attest to the accomplishments being scored.

Stating that the people are the foundation of all national policies, the Ambassador called on Eritrean nationals residing abroad to enhance their contribution to the development drive. He also stressed the need for strengthening community activities in Dallas city.

Meanwhile, the Eritrean Community in the city was awarded prize for its organizational capacity and efficient management it demonstrated in the annual African unity festival, according to reports.
