Addis Ababa – The Addis Ababa Roads Authority (AARA) and the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) Addis Engineering Plc. signed a 224 million birr agreement providing for the construction of the Megenagna-Ayat road in the city.

AARA general manager, Engineer Fekade Haile and Director of CRBC, Wen Ying zheng signed the agreement representing their respective institutions.

After signing the agreement, Engineer Fekade said that the agreement was signed to finalize construction of the left wing of the 8.2 kilometers road that stretches from Megenagna to Ayat.

The right wing of the road has earlier been constructed by the CRBC Addis Engineering with 115 million birr budget, he recalled.

CRBC Addis Engineering has won the bid floated for the construction of the road by offering 224 million 55,813 birr, the general manager said.

Engineer Fekade further said that CRBC Addis Engineering has efficiently finalized construction of the right wing of the Magenagna- CMC Ayat road.

CRBC Addis Engineering Plc. director, Wen Ying shens also said that his company would make all efforts to finalize construction of the road as per the agreed time table.
