Addis Ababa – Ethiopia will host a four-day international workshop on water, sanitation and hygiene next week, the ministry of water resources said.

Public relations and information service with the ministry told ENA on Friday that the workshop will discuss on issues related to safe water provision and sanitation.

The workshop, which will kickoff on Monday 18 May 2009, will attract 500 participants. Nearly 200 of the participants are researchers.

The workshop is organized in collaboration with UNICEF and the Water Engineering Development Centre of

Loughborough University of Britain.

The workshop is believed to assess activities being carried out in Ethiopia towards water sector development

Ethiopia had successfully hosted similar workshop 10 years before, the ministry said.
