Addis Ababa – The meeting of the Executive Committee of the Ethiopian People Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) was concluded late on Saturday after holding thorough discussions and passing decisions on three key issues.

The committee held detailed discussions on documents prepared on rural land use and administration, urban land administration, and on administration of tax collection system before passing decisions on the stated issues.

The meeting highlighted that there are problems toward ensuring accountability and transparency in rural and urban land administration due to absence of timely and dependable information on the issue.

Hence, the meeting decided to prepare additional documents on existing rural and urban land use and administration based on accurate and dependable data for the next meeting of the executive committee to be held in the coming main rainy season.

Similarly, the executive committee of the ruling party underscored the need to prepare relevant documents on the existing tax collection system of the country in a bid to boost institutional capacity of the nation toward curbing problems that exist in the sector.
