Ethiopia: University launches 40 research works

Arba Minch – The Arba Minch University disclosed that it has launched 40 research projects with over 400,000 birr budget in the current year.

Biology department head and research and publication coordinator with the University , Simon Shibru told WIC that the university has started work on 40 research projects focusing on health, bio diversity, Lake Abaya and Chamo, underground water and Nechsar national parks.

Simon said the researches are being conducted by 25 instructors and post graduate students of the university with over 400,000 birr budget.

The university released its research findings on rehabilitating indigenous trees drip irrigation, environmental development, among others, he said.

Simon urged investors and responsible bodies to implement over 500 research findings which are available at the university and to contribute share to the on going development.
