Ethiopia: Ethiopia , China agree to lift double taxation

Addis Ababa – The Federal Democratic republic of Ethiopia and the Chinese Republic has signed an agreement to lift double taxation on incomes, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

Pubic diplomacy and public relations directorate with the Ministry, in a statement sent to WIC, said that the agreement would play an important role to boost investment and trade between the two countries.

The agreement would also enable lift double taxation on Chinese investors and help them engage in additional businesses.

The agreement was signed by the Ethiopian Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Sufian Ahimed, and Chinese Minister of tax administration , Xiao Jie.

Sufian on the occasion said that that Ethiopia can learn a lot from China in tax administration activities and requested the Chinese authorities to facilitate experience sharing forums.

The Chinese tax administration Minister pledged to facilitate experience sharing in the years to come.
