Ethiopia: Commissions call for stepped up anti-corruption efforts

Jimma – Federal and regional ethics and anti-corruption commissions called on courts and other concerned bodies to share their parts towards realizing the country’s renaissance through stepping up anti-corruption efforts.

The call came here during the 6th assembly of federal and regional ethics and anti-corruption commissions organized by Oromia state.

Federal Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Commissioner, Ali Suleiman said on the occasion that the commission is making efforts to step up anti-corruption efforts through bringing corruptors before the court.

Moreover, the commission is also working on wider awareness raising activities as part of the anti-corruption efforts, he added.

Oromia Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission commissioner, Foziya Amin also said that the commission has plans to open braches in Jimma, Adamma, Shashemen and Chero towns of the state.
