Eritrea: Eritrea participates in 62nd World Health Conference
Asmara – An Eritrean delegation headed by the Minister of Health, Ms. Amna Nurhusein, participated at the 62nd World Health Conference in Geneva, Switzerland.
The delegation highlighted at the conference Eritrea’s achievements in the health sector in general and reducing child and mother mortality rate, controlling communicable diseases, as well as combating malaria and HIV/AIDS in particular.
Moreover, the delegation outlined the tasks undertaken as regards ensuring supply and production of medicine, human resource development, expansion and capacity of health institutions.
Alongside the conference, the delegation conducted discussion on enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation with health ministers of various countries, the deputy director general for communicable diseases in the WHO, and the organization’s regional director for Africa.
