Ethiopia: Developers says benefiting from gov’t support

Addis Ababa – Some developers engaged in micro and small scale enterprises said they are benefiting from the effort the government is making to create trade ties to enterprises.

Commenting at the conclusion of the Micro and Small Scale Enterprises’ Trade Fair and Exhibition held in Addis Ababa Exhibition Center recently, the developers told WIC that the effort being made by the government to create trade linkage to enterprises has helped them promote their products.

Enat Knitting and Tailor Producing and Distribution Association Chairperson, Seyid Salih said the exhibitions and bazaars being organized by the government have helped the association create effective trade ties.

Similarly, Be’emnet General Metal Work enterprise General Manager, Wondimagegn Seyum on his part said the public’s attitude towards micro and small scale enterprises has been changing dramatically.

Addis Ababa Trade and Industry Development Bureau Deputy Head, Debere Tujjo on his part said the government is exerting utmost efforts to get micro and small scale enterprises lay foundation to industrial development in the country.

The bureau is also working actively to facilities business and marketing place to the enterprises, it was learnt.
