Addis Ababa – Jimma University in Oromia State said it will fully implement Business Process Reengineering (BPR) as of 8 July 2009.
The university has been undertaking various projects with 70 million Birr assistance secured from a Belgian University.
University President, Dr. Kaba Urgesa told ENA that implementation of BPR is significant to make services efficient and reliable.
Dr. Kaba said the university has strengthened relations with local and foreign universities. It has been executing projects with 70 million Birr budget secured from a Belgian university.
The projects, which last for 17 years, are in the areas of health, education quality and soil research , among others.
More than 16,000 students are attending classes at Jimma University at present.
