Bahir Dar – The Ethiopia Civil Service Collage (ECSC) has graduated on Friday some 439 students it trained via distance education at diploma level in Amhara and Benshangul state.

Speaking at the occasion Collage Distance Education Institute Director, Mihiret’ab Gebresilasse said some 198 of the graduates were women. Currently, the collage is providing training for over 2,400 trainees in different fields of studies, the director said, So far, the collage has graduated over 4,000 trainees through its seven distance education coordinating office, he said. Close to 1,196 trainees who are perusing their distance education at seven education center will be graduated starting from next week, he indicated. The Amhara State Chief Administrator Office Head, Simachew Nigatu handed the diploma over to the graduates. The director urged graduates to implement the government policy and strategies utilizing the skill and knowledge they acquired from the training.
The collage is also exerting efforts to human resource development as well as quality of education in the country, it was learnt.
