Mekelle – Over 33, 000 organized youth have benefited from various development activities in the Tigray state, youth association of the state indicated.

Manager of the association, Abrha Gebrewahid yesterday told WIC that the association is undertaking various activities meant to change the livelihood of the youth in the state.

To this end, over 33,144 members of the association have benefited from various development activities in the Tigray state, the manager said.

According to the manager, the association is also supporting 12,560 youth as models of development heroes and heroines to encourage other young people in the state.

The youth who are organized under the association have benefited from agriculture, animal husbandry, micro and small scale businesses in the state, he said.

The association also called on the government and the society to support the association’s efforts to make the youth beneficiary of the economic activates in the state.
