Ethiopia: Ministry says encouraging women in business

The government has set policies and strategies providing women entrepreneurs and their associations with the required support to produce growth-oriented women entrepreneurs in the country. The government has created conducive environment with a view to strengthening the private sector. Recognizing the fact that the private sector is becoming an engine for change as well as economic growth, the government is highly encouraging both local and international private investors through enshrining the property rights of individuals regardless of sex, race, ethnicity, religion. The government has taken various measures to incorporate the economic empowerment of women in its various development policies and strategies.
