Addis Ababa – The Ethiopian Peoples’ Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) announced that naming of the Gotera interchange and flyover after Ethiopian national and nationalities reflects Ethiopians unity in their diversity.

EPRDF external affairs department head, Sekuture Getachew told WIC that the project which includes interchange square, flyovers is symbol of the integrity and unity among Ethiopian nations and nationalities.

A number of Ethiopians paid their life to realize a democratic system that benefits all Ethiopians regardless of their diversities, Sekuture noted, adding that naming of the project after Ethiopian nations and nationalities is recognizing well the sacrifice made by the martyrs.

In addition to facilitating smooth traffic flow in the area, the interchange and flyover project is an indicator of the economic development the country would register over the years to come, he said.

The Gotera interchange and flyovers, which was constructed with 170 million birr, was inaugurated on Sunday.
