Eritrea: Development projects implemented in Areza sub-zone to promote socio-economic welfare of the population
Mendefera – A number of development projects that were implemented last year in Areza sub-zone have borne encouraging outcome as regards improved standard of living of the population, according to the Administrator, Mr. Berhane Mengesha.
He made the remarks at a seminar in which representatives from the 22 administrative areas of the sub-zone took part. Mr. Berhane pointed out that the inhabitants of various villages who used to encounter acute potable water supply problems have now access to reliable supply thanks to the implementation of a 10-million Nakfa water development project in 2008.
He further indicated that a similar project towards meeting the water supply needs of the residents of Mai-Dima town would be launched soon.
The Administrator of the sub-zone also outlined the achievements registered in the domains of health and education.
