Addis Ababa -The Jimma Town Administration in Oromia State said it has been undertaking various development projects in the town at a cost of 94 million Birr.
Town Mayor, Ahmed Abagisa told ENA that the projects are underway with the financial support of the World Bank.
Ahmed said the projects include, among others, construction of 12-km cobblestone road, an abattoir and flood prevention scheme, among others.
He said the public have been providing financial, material and labour support in the ongoing efforts to beautify the town.
Activities are also launched to implement business process reengineering in 17 localities of the town with a view to providing efficient services to the public, he said.
