Eritrea: Keren Hospital receives donation of medical equipments worth over one million Nakfa

Keren – Eritrean nationals residing in the Netherlands donated medical equipments worth over one million Nakfa to the Keren Hospital, which will be utilized as part of the ongoing efforts to intensify the hospital’s services, especially in nurturing premature children.

The director of the Hospital, Dr. Lu’ul Banteyirgu underlined the importance of the continuous donations by concerned nationals in the Diaspora towards upgrading the services of the hospital and called on the nationals to continue such donations.

Representing the donating group in the Netherlands, Ms. Liya Fessehaye pointed out that ensuring the health of children is ensuring a healthy society and pledged the continuity of similar assistance.

Reports from the Keren Hospital also indicate that assistance for fistula surgery was recently offered by the Hammer Forum medical group.

Meanwhile, a health committee from Keren residents has been established to upgrade the efficiency of health services in collaboration with the administration of the hospital.
