Ethiopia: Dev’t projects worth over 20 mln. Birr go operational
Bahir Dar -Various development projects constructed in Quarit Woreda, West Gojjam Zone of Amhara State at a cost of over 20 million Birr have gone operational, woreda chief, Assefa Berihun said.
Assefa told ENA that the projects carried out during the past three years include, among others, construction of roads, educational and health facilities .
He said over 80 schools and alternative basic education centers, two health stations and 27 health posts have already gone operational.
He said safe water facilities constructed in rural localities have already begun providing service to the public.
Natural resource conservation was also carried out in 18 rural localities.
More than 160,000 residents have become beneficiaries of the projects , he said.
