Ethiopia: Nation importing up to 7,000 cubic meter petroleum products per day
Addis Ababa -Ethiopia is importing up to 7,000 cubic meter petroleum products a day as a result of the increasing demand for petroleum following the rapid development registered in the country, Ethiopian Petroleum Enterprise (EPE) said.
EPE Djibouti Branch office head, Lakech Mammo told ENA that nearly 300 fuel trucks are importing petroleum products daily as per the request of oil filling stations.
She said some 157,250 cubic meter petroleum products had been imported in 2007. The amount has reached 199,777 cubic meter in 2009.
The head said the demand has been increasing owing to the ever growing economic activities in the country.
