They must have a special machine to count all these
seedlings. By this count Ethiopia will recover her forest density in one or two years, if it has already done so ! Some of the figures I read recently about the devlopment of the country, sound very much like science fiction.

Planting trees is just fine. But if all the seedlings that were planted in South Wollo in the last 30 year grew, there wouldn’t be any tiny bit of land that is not covered with trees. But south Wollo is as bold as Meles’s forehead.
They better tell us how many of those planted last year, the year before, two years before, etc are still standing. If the tree’s don’t grow, they better stop forcing our people in to de this never ending cycle of tree planting for a sack of bad wheat and a “lastic” of oil.
Our people should do something useful for the handout they get. They should not just be kept busy with some non-sense simply because they get aid. God, when shall you deliver us from begging!!
