Ethiopia: Organization provides 2.8 million birr worth assistance to higher learning institutions
Addis Ababa – Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, has provided educational materials worth 2.8 million birr to six universities and colleges.
The organization provided the assistance to Addis Ababa, Jimma, and Gondar universities as well as Gambella Teachers Education and Health Science College, Pawe Nursing College, Central University College, and Africa medical college.
Hannah Gibson, Country director of the organization handed over the educational materials, that include books, computers and medical equipment, among others, to the educational institutions.
Doctor Tegbar Yigzaw, a team leader with the organization said the organization has been offering training to university instructors. It has also been working on HIV/ AIDS prevention and controlling activities.
The organization has been providing assistance to medical students and health professional.
