Equatorial Guinea Officials express joy over launch of flight to Malabo by Ethiopian Airlines

Addis Ababa – Senior government officials of Equatorial Guinea expressed joy over the new flight Ethiopian Airlines has launched to Malabo. They said the flight will help the country to directly connect with Africa and the rest of the world.

Welcoming the inaugural flight in Malabo, capital of Equatorial Guinea, the officials said the flight will make easier for the country to connect with various countries in particular African countries.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Equatorial Guinea, Jose Esono Micha on the occasion said Ethiopian’s effort of expanding routes in Africa is commendable.

The Minister said his country is desirous to enhance existing relations with African countries. The new flight will play significant role to enable the country meet its desire as now Malabo can directly connect with Addis Ababa, headquarters of the African Union.

Ethiopian State Minister of Mines and Energy, Sinknesh Ejjigu on her part said Ethiopian’s activitties of expanding routes in Africa will contribute a lot to realize Africans dream of forming unity in all aspects.

Ethiopian vice president Busera Awol said the airliner is the first African carrier to commence international flights to Equatorial Guinea.

The airliner will fly Malabo three times a week and connect the city with Africa, Middle East and European countries.
