Addis Ababa, Ethiopia -– The Addis Ababa Youth Federation (AYF) disclosed that it is striving to make active participant in the socio-economic and political development of the country.

Vice President of the Federation, Yohannes Tassew told WIC that the federation is undertaking various capacity building activities which enable the youth exert efforts to the development of the country.

He said the federation is providing technical support and capacity building trainings to member associations including forums and clubs so that to create responsible citizen in the country.

He said the construction of recreation centers meant to help he youth protect themselves from addictions is being carried out in some 99 Kebeles of the city.

He called upon all youth in the country to contribute to the development effort being exerted by the government through organizing themselves under association.
