Ethiopia: Arbaminch University to launch 4 new postgraduate studies
Arbaminch, Ethiopia — Arbaminch University, one of the State-owned higher learning institutions, announced plans to launch four postgraduate programs as of the coming academic year.
The university will launch postgraduate programs on Numerical Analysis, Botanical Science, Geotechnical Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering fields of study, dean of graduate studies with the university, Dr. Mekonnen Ayana told ENA.
Dr. Mekonnen said the university has established a library and a laboratory to postgraduate students that provide around-the-clock services to trainees.
The new graduate studies will be enrolling 40 students every year and thereby boost the postgraduate intake of the university to more than 200 students at a time, he said.
Arbaminch University has launched postgraduate programs on six fields of study in March 2009 and thereby raised its postgraduate programs to 12, according to the dean.
