Income and revenue at AOL were down sharply in the first quarter of 2010, but Chairman Tim Armstrong repeatedly told analysts that the short-term pain will lead to long-term growth. “We ripped the Band-Aid off, made the change and now we’re plowing forward,” said Armstrong.
