The answer is.........

I've learned a lot about Ghana from the professors'usual intresting article.I loved the people and their leaders, especially President John Kufuor who laid the foundation for the vibrant democracy.

As a university student I read Dr.Nekrumah's "Africa must Unite."I've learned that he was the trail-blazer for African unity. If it was in his plan,Africa by now could've compted against Europe or North America.Unfortunately his unity plan was shelved aside the leaders who were divided, later on,into Monrovia and Casablanka Groups.

Vied against this back drop, the current Ghanas'sucess stories in democritization arduous process can taken as a prize of consolation for us who're waiting for the dawn of deocracy in the continent.

I've No Comment on Ethiopian politics.Simply said it's shameful to see such a backward, oppressive system.

Ghana got leaders who are humane and care about their people even when they are not democrats. in other words, patriots.

On the contrary, Ethiopia has been getting uncultured, backward, and uncaring emperor; a bestially bloodthirsty military officer, and the most devil and devious ethnic promoter and fighter who has no regard to humanity and human life.

Ethiopia got Tribalis woyane took power through coup deta 18 years a go

Ethiopia got 80 million population (not fake/political motivated woyane censor)

Ethiopia got 1.2 million km2

Yes, they got leaders that are elected and love the nation. We have dictators/criminals took power by force and ruling the biggest/ Oldest nation with Tigrian Tribalist doctrine and kilil. Yes, we Got rubbish like boy sebhat who is a dementia and knows nothing but hate and crime against Ethiopia. Our leaders are such as Sebhat. What do you expect from his kind?

I think it is too early to conclude that democracy has taken a strong and deep root in Ghana. They still have very high unemployment rate, wide spread corruption (even it is being checked), and politics along tribal lines has not been completely rejected or waned away. Also, the armed forces are still one of major employers in the country and its history of usurping power is still fresh in the minds of the officers in NCO. Just one slip-up by the civilian government can trigger a 21st century style coup. Look what happened in Honduras. It was heading in the right direction. But when the president started tinkering around the constitution to make himself a 'life-time' president, then his ass was tossed out of office in a dead night and still in his pajamas. As long these countries maintain a strong army when they don't need it, then someday the wolves will be coming home out of their barracks with their tanks and machine guns. The armed forces in such countries should be transformed culturally first and foremost. Then we all civilians can sleep better and in peace. So let’s give it 20 to 30 years. In the meantime, I applaud my Ghanaian brothers and sisters for planting the seeds of the rights of the individual.

Going back to the very early days, I have expressed my personal belief that there should be prohibition of organizing political parties on the basis of religion and/or ethnicity. While most Ethiopians readily accept the validity of prohibiting formation of political parties on religious basis they do not object to the equally personal attribute of ethnicity to be the basis for forming political parties. Religion and ethnicity are personal and not common national attributes, hence can not be potentially inclusive of all. I call on all Ethiopians, as I have done at most public and privet discussions and forums, to adopt the principle of prohibiting formation of political parties on the basis of religion and ethnicity. We can also vote with our feet by not joining or supporting such political parties. I have no qualms of forming civic organizations on religious and/or ethnic basis.
