I believe that companies should avoid procuring land beyond the levels they can handle and take up projects in a phased manner. Credibility for the company would be greatly enhanced if good utilization is demonstrated coupled with improving the livelihoods of local communities. That would be surest way to gain sustainable confidence as there are always voices against massive land procurement and Ethiopia would not be an exception.

Wey gud!

On this same thread of news of ER itself, we can clearly see the contradictions of the Weyane regime. On the one hand, Meles begs for food aid and over 8 millions of Ethiopians are inflicted by famine. On other hand, we hear news that Meeles is selling Ethiopia fertile arable land to Arabs, China, India, etc. And the foreigners who bought the Ethiopian farmlands show videos of their bumper harvest.

God save Ethiopia from Meles and friends. They are making Ethiopia like Zimbabwe, Kenya, etc where most fertile land of the countries is owned by foreigners-neo-colonial subjects.

If you think of the the financial control of Uganda and Kenya by the Indians is bad? Just give it few years, Ethiopia will be worst.

Then, we may need an Ethiopian IDI AMIN to clear the asian invasion.

I believe on a well managed foreign investment not on a fire sale of land of the poor farmer.

We're getting to the point where we start appreciating IDI AMIN and MENGISTU.

God have mercy on us!

Shit, why not sell land to Chad also, while they are at it. It seems we have plenty of land to sell. Or to the American and European hunters to hunt what ever animals that are left. That also will be a good income for the TPLF plan of economic progress.

Why does not they sell Tigray? Oh! wait, there is nothing to sell there. So the point is Meles sells to fill his pocket and what is left is invested in Tgiry. Does the money really go to the people of the land, to the people to whom the land belongs? What are you going to do? Just look and starve to death when your land is looted and sold to a foreigner and the money is invested in another Tigray? Or are you going to do something about it?

What kind of inhumane thugs are they, The population is doubling every 30 years. There is no enough fertile land now left for people to feed their family. They are selling Ethiopia bit by bit for he highest bidder. They are suckers, sucking all the blood out of Ethiopia, they are real parasite which never leaves befor killing the host. Gobez Wake up and get outraged. With 100 % certainty, There is no Ethiopian who doesn't know the out come of next election. Don't you? We need a solution.Think PIA of Eritrea, the only exterminator of these TPLF ticks. Lets save Ethiopia. No time for self doubting Eritrea.
I nominate People of Eritrea, their major contributions for Ethiopia is yet to come, if we take their open hands.
Regards.
