In addition to the monopoly of the businesses in Ethiopia, Meles strikes off the banks' debts for the TPLF companies whenever the companies got bankrupt. The bankrupt companies do not close since they frequently repleshed by Meles. Almost all the companies of TPLF are losing money through theft, getting bankrupt. Meles infinitely funds them all.

I agree with No. # 4 Wub. This is the tip of the iceberg. TPLF agenda is to create a necessity Ethnic group that has members who are rich, educated, trained, and well connected. They are controlling the business in manufacturing as well as services. They educate their members so that they will be future layers, Doctors, Engineers etc, train and position them in the army(Chosen), provide them every opportunity in trade, land ownership, legal and illegal business, and politics. After decades, even when true democracy prevails we may still be under the mercy of those educated, rich, trained and positioned. We will need them when we are sick, when we want to make roads, make business, protect our country etc. They are following the model of the chosen people.

Given their canniness and our division, I am afraid they could be succeed just as those unless we become close to those and be able to stop the TPLF diabolical scheme.

This is the first reward that Daniel Yohannes awarded to EFFORT right upon his confirmation at the MSCC. It augurs what is to come in the next few years.

I think the US, the UK, the World Bank, IDA and all other international aid donors should do a thorough overhaul of their aid projects in Ethiopia. They should also investigate if there are corrupt dealings between the parties managing the projects. Otherwise, Ethiopians will never trust these governments and financial institutions which purport to be helping the people. It will be clear to all Ethiopians that these so-called donors are there not on humanitarian grounds or to assist the development of Ethiopia, but that they are there to aid the ruthless and authoritarian rulers of Ethiopia for their mutual motives and benefits.

First of all I would like to wish strength and happyness to all Ethiopians abroad and in Ethiopia during these hard times specially for the families and friends of Yitbarek Syume, Berhane Leghese, Amanuel Ghirmazion and all 39 people, nearly all from Ethiopia, which are accused of one of the largest bribery case in American history involving Ethiopians recently. The government says more than $300,000 were paid to government officials to obtain taxi licenses illegally in wahington DC , USA in 2009. The question now is which scandal is done to put food on the table and which one is done just to accumulate wealth ?The answer is yours.
