The shameless Tigrean minority thugs in the TPLF led by Prime Minister Meles Zenawi are trading in anything of value like Lucy, a national treasure, which, although a symbol of the human race as a whole, first and foremost belongs to the Afar people, amongst whom she was discovered in 1974. As such, the Afar people must be considered as the primary guardians of Lucy. As a concerned African anthropologist and cultural and material preservationist, I categorically condemn the physical prostitution that Lucy has been subjected to in such a shameful manner by a ruthless and brutal bunch of dictators like Prime Minister Meles Zenawi and his Tigrean cronies. I think that Lucy must immediately be returned back to the place where she belongs to and any incomes accrued from her infamous tour of the United States of America must be channeled in its entirety to benefit good cultural and heritage causes of the Afar region and its people.
